Complete the convenient American Heart Association online portion at your own pace, then attend the in-person skills session to demonstrate your proficiency and receive your certification. Our expert instructors will guide you through hands-on practice to ensure you’re confident in your skills.

Basic Life Support Online and Skills Session

The Heartcode Basic Life Support Provider Course by the American Heart Association is the online portion of the 3-part online BLS certification. During this online course, you will learn how to do life-saving skills via online simulation.

To complete the course and receive your Basic Life Support certificate, you need to complete the SKILLS SESSION, which is the 2nd and 3rd part of the Heartcode BLS.

Topics discussed are:

  • Single and multi-rescuer basic life support skills with an emphasis on high-quality CPR.
  • Child and infant BLS
  • Team dynamics
  • Opioids
  • Choking relief on an adult, child, and infant

Note: Please complete the online portion before attending the skills session. Additionally, make sure to present or submit your American Heart Association (AHA) online certification on or before the scheduled skills session. This certification is required for participation in the skills session. If the posted skills session does not work with your schedule, please call us and we will do our best to accommodate your preferred schedule.

Online Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Skills Session

The Heartcode Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Course is the online portion of the 3-part Online ACLS certification. During this online course, you will learn how to do life-saving skills via online simulation.

In order to complete the course and receive your Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certificate, you need to successfully complete the SKILLS SESSION, which is the 2nd and 3rd part of the Heartcode ACLS.

Topics discussed are:

  • Initial management of both cardiac and respiratory arrest
  • High-quality Basic Life Support
  • Airway management
  • Management of Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS)
  • Management of Acute Ischemic Stroke
  • Team dynamics
  • Megacode
  • Algorithms (Cardiac Arrest, Bradycardia, Tachycardia, and Post-cardiac Arrest Care)
  • Intraosseous access

Online Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Skills Session

The Heartcode Pediatric Advanced Life Support Course is the online portion of the 3-part Online PALS certification. During the online course, you will learn how to do life-saving skills via online simulation.

To complete the course and receive your Pediatric Advanced Life Support certificate, you need to complete the SKILLS SESSION, which is the 2nd and 3rd part of the Heartcode PALS.

Topics discussed are:

  • High-quality Child CPR AED and Infant CPR
  • Respiratory distress vs. respiratory failure and its interventions
  • Differentiation between compensated and decompensated (hypotensive) shock
  • Early interventions for the treatment of shock
  • Differentiation between unstable and stable patients with arrhythmias
  • Clinical characteristics of instability in patients with arrhythmias
  • Post–cardiac arrest management

Online First Aid and Skills Session

The Heartsaver First Aid Course from the American Heart Association provides knowledge and high-quality training to any layperson and even future healthcare providers. This is a great course that will help anyone be prepared during the most common emergencies and know what kind of action to take to help preserve life and prevent further injury while waiting for the advanced medical team.

Topics that will be discussed are:

  • Roles and responsibilities of a First Aid provider
  • Basic First Aid actions on the most common medical emergencies such as heart attack, stroke, breathing problems, allergic reactions, use of an EpiPen, and seizure.
  • Basic First aid actions on most injury emergencies like wounds, amputation, head neck, and spine injury to name a few.
  • Basic First aid actions on the most common environmental emergencies like animal and insect bites, heat-related emergencies, and cold-related emergencies.
  • Choking relief on an adult, child, and infant.

This course is for both healthcare providers and laypersons like gym instructors, personal trainers, construction workers, security personnel, etc.

Online CPR AED and Skills Session

The Heartsaver CPR AED course from the American Heart Association is a CPR class for those who work in industries that need a CPR certification such as security personnel, teachers, gym instructors, personal trainers, and other laypersons who require CPR certification for school or work.

Topics that will be discussed include:

  • High-quality CPR on an adult, child, and infant.
  • Use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
  • Choking relief on an adult, child, and infant.
  • Opioids

This also meets the OSHA requirements for CPR Training.
